The British Film Institute in London’s Southbank saw a huge crowd of Bollywood fan following, when Shahrukh Khan’s family joined the Bachchans for the London premiere of Mani Ratnam’s “Raavan”. Of course, the crowd wanted a glimpse of two of the biggest stars of Bollywood together, which is a rare sight.
The film starring Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with Tamil superstar Vikram is a Hindi remake of a Tamil film. The film, co produced by Reliance Big Pictures and Madras Talkies hit the screens today worldwide.
Amitabh Bachchan posted on Shahrukh’s page on Tweeter, “Shah Rukh, Abhishek probably spoke to you about the London premiere of ‘Raavan’, see you, Gauri and the kids there. Good that you are coming.”
Shahrukh, who is presently in london shooting for Anubhav Sharma’s “Ra.One” accepted the offer of joining the Bachchan family for the premiere.
“It’s wonderful. Look at the reception we’ve got. We are feeling on top of the world and so happy that we came to London to premiere the film,” gushed Abhishek, overjoyed with the turnover.
