Koena Mitra (born 7 January 1978) is an Indian actress and former model.
Koena Mitra was born in Kolkata, West Bengal to a Bengali family. Mitra attended South Point High School and Lady Brabourne College in Calcutta. Mitra was trained with the Mamata Shankar ballet troupe for 12 years.
Koena's claim to fame is her win at the Gladrags Mega Model Contest in 2002. She splashed into Bollywood with item numbers like Khullam Khulla in RGV's Road in 2002. Saaki saaki in Musafir (2004) featuring her and sanjay Dutt was a big hit as well. She played the female lead in Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena with Fardeen Khan and while the movie bombed, the song 'ishq hai jhoota' became quite popular.
Koena has a fantastic body and she works out at Sykz gym in Bandra. She isn't afraid to show it off, she has posed in bikinis for magazines like Cosmopolitan and Maxim. She isn't averse to doing bold scenes either.

While in college, Mitra pursued a career in modeling. Over the years, Koena has done commercials like ACP Whisky, Mirinda, Clinic All Clear, Maruti Alto. She is the winner of Gladrags Mega Model 2002. She later on went on to become the semi-finalist of Miss Intercontinental. She featured in quite a few music videos like Stereo Nation’s “Ishq”, “Aaj Ki Raat”, “Akh Teri”, “Channo” by Jassi.
Koena made her film debut in an item number in Ram Gopal Verma’s Road. This was followed by a small role in Musafir. Her lead role was in Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena directed by Suparn Verma opposite Fardeen Khan.
