Renowned Indian music composer and singer A. R. Rahman will begin his 'A. R. Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour' on June 11 in New York at the famous Nassau Coliseum arena.
The singer decided for the tour after he participated in 'We Are The World' 2010 remake for Haiti benefit.
Reportedly, fans of the melodious singer in North America and Europe have purchased almost all the tickets for 11 concerts between June 11 and July 5.
Produced by Deepak Gattani of Rapport Global Productions, the tour, beginning on June 11, will go around 20 cities globally and end at London's Wembley Stadium on July 25.
The 'Mozart Of Madras' will be accompanied by dance and singer troupes for the world tour.
Creative director of the concert Amy Tinkham, who earlier created concerts of Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys and Mariah Carey, said that the show is a complete “blend of new technologies with dramatic dance arrangements and acrobatics”.

LED outfits have been designed for the Grammy Award winner. LED outfits are the illuminated garments that shine at night.
"While designing for this tour it was important to keep intact the heritage and traditions of India and add a new modernity to the presentation. There are two different costumes to represent different parts of India. While one outfit is inspired by Bharatnatyam, there is another with elements of yoga and Kathak," Ritu Beri told NDTV.
It also helps that Rahman is a prolific composer who has astaggering range. Americans find his music “easy listening” as it is brewed with an unerring feel for melody, swing and soul.
Ahead of his concert, Rahman who has been writing musical scores for Bollywood since the 1990s credited the film industry for his versatility.
“In America, they typecast a person — he is a good horror movie soundtrack composer or he is a good classical music composer. In India, the director expects everything from one person. That pushed me to compose different types of music — Indian and Western,” Rahman told DNA on the sidelines of an event in the Asia Society.
